I usually drive in either Eco Mode or Sport Mode. I've noticed that occasionally when turning off the engine the mode setting is changed to Tour Mode. Sometime this Tour Mode selection is retained on power up and I have to manually change it. I haven't been able to find any mention of this in the manual or online. The dealer hasn't heard of this happening. Has anyone else experienced this. My car is a 2018 automatic Stingray.

My Z51 Stingray M7 always defaults to touring mode on startup no matter what I leave it in at shut down. I was under the impression that the car was suppose to hold whatever it was last set to when shut down? Haven't found a way to make mine do this though.
I bought my 2019 in September. The first few months, it always started up in the last mode used. For the past few months, I am having the exact same experience as you - I use the same two driving modes. Until I saw your post, I was starting to think I was only imagining it previously started back up in the same mode as last used.
It seems strange that mine doesn't always default to touring mode, just sometimes. I can't correlate this to anything. Sometimes when it defaults to touring mode after being in sport mode I will turn off the car and restart. Sometimes it restarts in sport mode, sometimes in tour mode?
My 2014 retains ONLY Touring or Sport.
Eco, Weather or Track will always default back to Tour. However Sport will stay as Sport.
I don't believe this behavior is even mentioned in the manual but read on the forum that it should default to Tour. Which begs the questions as to why Sport stays but since I drive that way 80% of the time I'm happy it does.
Also just so you don't go crazy: make sure Link to Drive mode is on in the DIC! I was going nuts one day changing modes because it seemed like nothing was happening (sitting still at a stop light)... then I realized the display was set to Sport gauges regardless of mode.
I drive my 2019 in Sport all the time. Sport always comes back up on re-start (so far). I have set the NPP exhaust to stay in Track mode at all times. I have a Range AFM Disabler on the way to keep it in V8 mode all the time as well.
