Default 2017 Grand Sport w/Z07

Does the Grand Sport with the Z07 option have a stiffer ride than the Z51?

Z07 models usually have a bit stiffer ride than regular versions, and regular GS is a bit stiffer than Z51 I think.

Regular GS vs. Z07: GS Z07 has same front spring as regular GS, but it has stiffer (40%?) front sways, which means front will feel stiffer if both front wheels hit the impact. The rear has same sways, but the spring is a little bit stiffer, though not by much.

Thanks for the info. Follow-up question. Does that change with the magnetic ride control? If used in touring mode does it dampen the stiff ride to be comfortable?

Yes, everything is relative. I do have a Z06 w/ Z07, and its touring mode is much more comfortable than its track mode.

That's the beauty of mag ride. My C5 Z06 didn't have it so it was always a stiff ride. Not good on rough pavement. Then went to the C7 Grand Sport, pure heaven. I can imagine it's s the same with Z07.

That's right, forgot about the MRC software update. If it's not a 2019, you def want to do this. My GS was a 2019 and already had it done in the factory.

Yeah, the Z06/Z07 is pretty damn comfortable in tour mode, but you need to like a stiff chassis.

I recently purchased a 2018 GS with Z07. It is definitely a stiffer ride than the Z51 I test drove. I don't have enough road miles to offer a strong opinion. I've tried Tour and Sport on some rather rough roads near me and the Tour mode is absolutely better, but I still feel the bumps and impacts.
