I I’m gonna try and make a long story short. Did a complete cam swap with all the goodies. Left the bottom end factory. Now, after everything, the initial start up went fine. It started fine and obviously idled rough with no tune. I shut it off and this is where the problem starts. Went to start it again and it just spun over. I seen an engine light come on. Checked it and it said crank shaft position sensor. After some investigation, I found one of the wires got pulled from the plug itself. I went ahead and put a new sensor in too and replaced the plug in as well. Now, still getting the code. If I read correctly elsewhere, you have to relearn the sensor? I haven’t done a lot of research but from what I glanced at, the car needs to idle to relearn it. Well I can’t get it to start because of this code. Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to start?? Thanks in advance !!
What code? You have bad wiring, a bad sensor, or some other problem. The engine should still start without a relearn.
this is what I thought too.... P0335 is what I’m getting. Both the connector and sensor are brand new now. Still no start. Everything looks good including the ground that grounds these specific wires... so I’m just kinda lost right now ...
+5 VDC on CPS connector pin 3 comes from the ECM.
Ground on CPS connector pin 2 comes from the ECM.
Pulses on CPS connector pin 1 when cranking. Look for some kind of change in voltage when you start cranking. Really need a scope for this.

So with the multi meter, both my wires stay at a solid 4.90-4.98. Cranking and just sitting. If I hold it to the floor it will backfire. I know I’m getting plenty of gas and I have fire. Just still not starting... please help...
