Default 4th engine.....

So here we are again, cars at the dealer waiting for another engine. The car has only 32k and i do have an extended warranty from GM until 2022 or 98k miles. this is unheard of, this is my 4th vette and never had this issue before. I have contacted GM and they have me on a call back for Monday. What can i do? at this point is there anything else they would be willing to offer me?

Sounds like the dealer is not installing the engine correctly each time. From what I recall there is an alignment procedure required for mating the engine to the torque tube and if things aren't right it eats the rear main bearings and crank. These engines are way too reliable to have 4 different engine issues in a row with the same car/owner. Something else is going on here

Dealer is definitely doing a bad install!!! Typical for a Chevy dealer. They are incompetent. Such a shame!!!!

This technical article states failure due to torque tube misalignment typically take 3 - 5000 miles. Sure seems suspicious.

At least you never have had to change the oil.

Is this a dry sump car? Are they reusing the contaminated oil system? Cleaning it out? New?

Probably comparable odds of this (by chance alone) as winning the lottery! It HAS to be incompetent installation(s). One would think on the second install GM would have taken some interest. By the third they'd had enough concern to directly step in. By the forth... well, don't ask.

Torque tube, bad install. Has to be. These motors are so reliable.

Why are you even keeping this car? I would have dumped it after engine number 2. Don't see how you could ever trust the car or be happy with it at this point. Life is too short to deal with this sort of garbage.

It’s not the car, it’s the techs who have no idea of the proper procedure, even though the info is available. A little extra work, but it’s needed.
