The Z51's may be forged and I'm sure Kracka has some reliable source for his reply... but, it seems way "not GM" to me... if they could save a few bucks with cast. And, maybe it actually says "Forged" on them somewhere out of sight--I've never had mine off.
Why different from the other wheels you ask about? Simple, two reasons: 1) a different model demands a different appearing wheel from a marketing standpoint, but more importantly, 2) the width is different (as well as off-set, I suppose) for the "wide-body" Vettes.
