Blendmount has the best mounts I have seen. Have had them in multiple vehicles for my V1
I agree blendmount is the best. Here is a link for a discount. I just got it yesterday. I have one in both my vehicles. So nice to have them hardwired and up out of the way.
Thanks for the replies...I have looked at this brand...and they do not offer mounts for Whistler...evidently Whistler has not been considered as a quality detector up until now with their newest model getting rave reviews in my opinion and research...it is a half price bargain as the majority of reviews state...plan to try it out with stock mount and if I like it I'll keep it and I if do not...the seller has a money back guarantee...again thanks for your help...ill keep you posted....

Check out the Uniden R7 before you make the move, It is knocking the socks off everything.
I thank you all for the help...looking for a bit more please...after examining my mirror in my 2016 Z-51...convertible(not sure if this matters)...There is no access readily available to tap into the electrical wiring at the mirror. There is a cover (seems like a cover) just past the stem at the windshield. I don't want to force it and break it ...then find out it wasn't what I should have investigated to begin with. Any help on how to access the wiring for the tap on the direct wire would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance...

Here’s a great video to watch. Many say they don’t need to take the panel off on the windshield behind the mirror. I think it just gives more room to work.
I mounted my radar yesterday along with the mirror tap install. The video was very helpful on the mirror tap Saleen556. I did not have to remove the large plastic snap on cover that sits in front of the mirror stem....just the small one right at the mirror back near the stem. The purple and the black were the same in my Z-51 as was in the video. Thanks again!

Glad to hear I could help and it went smoothly. It’s a great setup and as solid as it gets.
Anyone know how to tighten the inside rear view mirror....how do you get to whatever bolt holds it tight - having the blendmount on for a few years now, it seems to have helped the mirror wiggle and shake to the point of total annoyance - my dealer ended up just stick a spacer in between the base of the mirror and the crossbar wiht his fingers.....works up to the first set of bumps which has not solved it
