Default Roebling Road next week

I going to Roebling Road next week with my new GS A8. My prior experience with Roebling Road was in a Z51 M7. I found that holding 3rd gear around the curves gave me good torque to maintain speed, and then shifting to 4th right at redline worked well for the short straightaway. My question is how should I use the A8; track mode of course but in manual mode, or let the auto do the work? I was getting laps under 1:30 minutes with my M7, I hope to get better with the GS.

This was from the last time, I felt like I could do better at the end of the straight away and the 5th and 6th turns, second lap was about 1;28

I ran Roebling in my Z about a month ago. I used 4th on the front straight, maxing out at 152, then shifted into 3rd coming into turn 1. I accelerated to about 105-110 on the short straight, and then took the big sweeper in 3rd at about 95. Used 3rd all the way through, accelerating out of 8 and back to 4th just before the start finish line.
I think this lines up with 4th and 5th in your GS auto. Good luck, great track

Thanks, That Is just how I ran my Z51, but just about 150 hp less than you have, pushing the gas peddle all the way to the floor, I was only able to get up to 137 before the first turn and about 90 on the short straight, pitiful.

137 is awesome, just gotta nail turn 8 and I’m sure you’ll pick up more next time
A monkey could max out 4th gear in my 19Z at roebling, car is a beast. My best laps were in the 1:24s. Now if I could just get that monkey to help me post videos 😂

Fatsport, is your Z an auto or manual?

M7. I do have a BMS filter, Katech throttle body and Borla Xpipe. Is quite a bit faster than stock

Thanks for the good input fatsport. Here are the proof pics taken from the video of my fastest lap, same spot in the track from both pics. 125.6 makes me very happy. You can see from the tire marks on the side the second pic is slightly beyond the first. GPS was drifting off so this lap was recorded with 2 others because the GPS had strayed off left of the course start/finishing line.
Best recorded stats; top speed 140.0, 1.29 top Gs, Avg 91.8 MPH.

Great run
I really enjoy Roebling. It’s fast, fun, and much more technical than it looks from just glancing at the layout.
How did you do coming out of turn 5? I just couldn’t get my car to launch out of the corner. Go all the way to the rear curbing, pivot and nail it coming out. Easy to say, but hard to do.

Publishing Two videos to youtube now.

I just hung on for dear life in turn 5, going into it between 70-74 MPH. I talked to my car the whole time;' Hang on baby, hang on baby, hang on baby." My left knee has a bruise from bracing against the door.

This was my second fastest lap. This was where the best recorded stats came from.

Nice run!
What a great track, easy on the car too.
My second day there I went for a ride with my instructor. I thought I was using the whole track - wrong - he was far more extreme, hitting every rumble strip. Went very wide on the front straight to hitting the rumble strips on the inside of turn 1. Kept doing it throughout the lap, and carried much more speed in his ZL1 1LE than I did in my Z06. He ended up running around 1:20, vs my 1:24.
Look forward to going back soon, wish it was closer.
