I got my 16 Z06 back together after porting the blower, smaller pulley, and swapping the intercooler. The car has been sitting since November. One mistake I realize now is I put stabil in the tank but didn’t drive it after. I’m assuming the gas in the other tank is probably garbage by now. I also put in a bottle of startron additive as supposedly it brings bad gas back to life.
Long story short is the car started fine, and I let it warm up. I took it up the street and noticed there was an occasional misfire. At this point the car has 2000 miles on it. So I babied the car home and parked it. Made an appointment for dyno time and checked my data log. I put the bottle of startron it it yesterday and started it up. Seemed to be fine, so I took it down the street. I now have the Mighty Mouse diverter in the PCV valve to stop oil from soaking the supercharger, which was completely cleaned after porting. So I know there’s no oil coming from that now. After a couple miles, and I’m assuming it went into closed loop, it started to misfire again. Wasn’t horrible, but it was noticeable. I brought it home again, and this time, the MIL was on. Misfire in cylinder 2, pedal circuit A, and MAF performance codes were all there. Then the service axle message came up on my screen. Now I’ve read instances where a misfire causes the service axle message. So I removed the plug and wire from cylinder 2. Plug was noticeably different that cylinder 1s plug. The grounding bracket had a film of oil on it. I cleaned it off, and swapped the plug and wire with cylinder 1. Now the misfire is a lot worse. I took it down the street and it did not clear up, it actually felt like 2-3 cylinders now. Instantly I got another code, random misfire detected.
I would rather not bring it to the dealer modded for something silly. At this point, I just ordered 8 new plugs and a set of MSD plug wires. I’m just floored that at 2000 miles, this is going on. Does anyone have a similar experience?

Silvah Goat, I too am experiencing something similar. I really don't want to go to all the effort to trailer it to a dealership 50 miles away and find out that the reason for the CEL / P0300 code was a bad spark plug or a bad SP wire. I'm guessing that you would recommend replacing the SP's and the SP wires?

I think some of the Vettes got shitty wires. I can not find a case of this occurring in a Camaro but found more than a few Vette stories that were solved with 1 plug and 1 wire. I don’t believe any of the plugs were bad. I have not had time to test any wires. I suspect my issue was caused by 1 wire. Cylinder 2’s spark plug had oil on it. The other 7 looked new.
I only changed everything because it was 138 bucks to just start over.
