Default X-pipe options

Hi all,
just wondering if there's a good alternative to the discontinued Borla 60547 X-pipe which deletes the secondary cats?
thinking about the Corsa X-pipe but I've heard there could be some loss of torque down low. I don't go to the track so maybe I wouldn't even notice.
any other suggestion or comments?
Thanks
Marc

Is the Corsa emissions compliant.
It deletes the secondary cats as well.

Weight reduction:-2lbs (No secondary cats)

Rayland enjoyed personally installing this beautiful stainless steel piece of art work.
Please Note: The inferior sloppy welds on the stock OE X-pipe in comparison.

Many thanks,

I'd like to see dyno charts on this because people have both gained and lost power with the xpipes. Basically a wash but claiming power increase might not be true. It's 100% a sound thing.

Fitment with the Corsa could also be an issue due to not matching the stock 2.75" size. Basically you have to crush it onto the stock pipe.

OP:
Here's a stock x pipe next to borla. Other than visual, there's really no difference, the routing and crossover is identical. I have an extra stock one from my last car and likely will go to a local exhaust shop and pay them to weld in pipe cat delete.

If just looking for a little better sound, you can unbolt those secondary cats, gut the inside material, put it back together. May not necessarily gain any power, but I have heard the before and after, not bad.

I heard gutting those cats is tough.. plus you'll now introduce a pretty abrupt angle and anything that breaks off later clogs your mufflers

Some people like John at LHT in Florida were able to make their own clone of the Borla Pipes.

The Manzo pipes seem to be a good cheap option as well.

My buddy did say it was a PITA, he took hammer and chisel and chipped away any of the small residue, then machine wire brushed the surface until completely clean. He won't do it again.

I installed the catles Corsa x-pipe and like it a lot. The sound level increases around 25-30% plus it has a better tone. Would definitely recommend the Corsa. If you are looking only for horsepower install a cold air intake. Add the Corsa!!!! You will like it.
