Looks like I need to replace the slave cylinder in my 2014 Z51. Anyone have any experience with this, or a general guide beside the service manual? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
It is a monster undertaking. Lots of parts need to get out of the way before you get at the slave. I'd follow the Helms to get it done if I were doing it.

If you're not extremely familiar with the car and the work involved, it's not something I would recommend trying to do in the garage for the first time. If you're very mechanically inclined, have a lift and a free weekend, go for it, but be prepared for more than you'd expect if you haven't seen one apart yet.
I've done a C5 2X on jackstands... but the C7 has tons of coolers and lines and an e-Diff etc. Would probably fork over the $$$ to a dealer whose done the work before.
What's the car doing? Has the slave blown out completely?

In his other thread, he mentioned that the pedal is on the floor.
It really sucks that this happened but honestly, I would pay the dealer and have everything under warranty. Like others have already stated, it is a ridiculously involved job!

I replaced the clutch and rebuilt the torque tube on my C5 in a weekend, so I'm somewhat mechanically inclined. The Z51 has me worried with all the coolers and ESD. Sounds like I need to just pay to have it done. Thanks for your help.

Clutch master cylinder was empty, adding fluid, and then pumping the clutch pedal just leaks fluid between the bell housing and torque tube. I don't know what else it could really be?
Mine was leaking from the bleeder because it was not threaded in correctly when new. I managed to chase the threads with a tap and put a Katech remote bleeder in and it solved my problem. It probably won't solve yours but I'd put one on if I replaced it for sure.

Completely agree on the remote bleeder. Did you have to lower the drive line at all to replace the bleeder?

Yep... that would be 99% a bad slave.

How in the world did you get a chase up in there to chase it?
