Default C6 Z06 wheels on C7

I have a new set of C6 Z06/GS/ZR1 wheels.

Will they bolt on to my C7? And if so, will the wide wheels/tires work on my C7 base body?

I'd suggest you consider another wheel option, as all of the above mentioned wheel models are failing with bending and cracking at an alarming rate. In fact there was a class action law suit filed on 5/30/19. See: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...acked-rim.html

I dunno. I drove my base '06 C6 for 7 yrs with GM wheels, and my '13 Grand Sport for 6 yrs, also with GM wheels. Both cars were daily drivers, neither one experienced cracked wheels, and yes, I hit potholes so hard that I actually destroyed a couple tires. Maybe I'm just lucky.

Hello, Stu! I believe you are comparing apples to oranges. The class action lawsuit, and the NHTSA reports are directed against the 2015 Z06 to present as well as the 2017 GS to present.

Thank you for clarifying, but why did you post it in the first place. I was asking about putting *C6* Z06 wheels (manufactured '06='13) on a C7. Any thoughts on that?

My error, Stu. I read your original post too quickly and missed the C6 qualification.

They may not fit. The offset is very close to the same but the brake caliper clearance is an issue. The caliper sticks out too much. Some of the C6 wheels have worked with a 5mm spacer and Extended Thread Lug nuts but I am unsure about the wheels you are asking about.

You would need to test fit and see if you need spacers.

I keep seeing a white vert with blue top and chrome C6Z wheels driving around my town. The wheels look incredible on the car.

I believe they do fit...caliper clearance would be the only issue I would be concerned about.

Reviving an old post. Anyone do this yet? Seems like a good option to put wider wheels on a C7 base or Z51 for the track.

While c6 GS/Z06/ZR1 wheels will fit on a c7 Stingray hub, the wheels will stick out more than an inch from the fenders due to their increased width and lower offset.

You have to go aftermarket for what you are looking to do.
