Billy Boat X-pipe
Anyone have any experience with the Billy Boat X-pipe? They look to be built almost identical to the Borla. Just curious if they sound like them too. I know Billy Boat makes a quality product but I have never heard one with a stock exhaust.

I just ordered one as the Borla's are gone and couldn't find a Manzo in stock. Mine does not arrive until next Tuesday so I don't have any feedback but I'm also curious to hear from anyone who has one installed.

Interesting that the Billy Boat x-pipe doesn't have the pegs for the stock hanger bracket like the Corsa has. At least that's what the picture shows. Makes me wonder if that could cause problems.

Thats interesting. I never took notice of that. A quick call to Billy Boat would answer that question. I can’t help but think Billy Boat has this figured out. They make a quality product.

Got it installed yesterday, hardest part was getting the original off. Fit and finish is great, everything bolted right up. First impression of the sound is that it amplified everything and sounds a bit more aggressive. Not a huge difference at idle but get above 3k RPM and it wakes up. It did exactly what I wanted in making the car a bit louder without adding drone or being too loud. I’ll try and get some sound clips posted in the near future.

I dyno'd the Borla x-pipe and Billy Boat x pipe back to back (within about 40 minutes it took to swap them) and the Billy Boat made a little more hp and a quite a bit more torque. I was curious to see how they would compare since they have different diameter pipe with BB being larger. It was a few years ago so don't remember exact numbers, but roughly 5-7 hp and 15 lb./ft. Everyone goes crazy for the Borla, but the BB gave better numbers. Just a regular car guy here with no affiliation or bias to either company.
