Convertible Top
We have a new to us '14 C7 convertible, we're trying to lower/raise the top using the FOB but cant find the "trick". Following the manual I believe is says to press the unlock button then quickly press and hold the top down button. After pressing the unlock button, we've pressed and held the top down button for 10+ seconds and nothing. The FOB starts the car remotely and the FOB raised and lowered the top at the dealership (McMulkin) just fine during the after-sale walk-through. The switch on the dash raises and lowers it.
What the heck are we doing wrong?

Did you make sure that your trunk separator was snapped into place? I know mine will come up with a warning saying that the rear trunk partition must be closed in order for the mechanism to function.

My 2016 Vert is the same way, you need gorilla fingers to be able to hold the button down long enough to lower the top & when you are doing this, it just kills the FOB battery quickly.

FOBs lower the top. FOBs do not raise the top.
There is an aftermarket application that you might want to consider. I have it on my car. It's called "SmartTop". Site: http://www.mods4cars.com/sms/db/smar...vZ2xlLmNvbS8=&
I can lower and raise the top with the FOB. I press unlock for 3 -4 seconds and the car beeps. I release the FOB button and the windows go down and the top goes down. If I press the lock button for 3-4 seconds, the car beeps, I release the button and the top goes up and the windows close. You do NOT need to hold the FOB button the entire time to put the top down/up. Enormous battery saver!!!!!!
In the car, I can tap the bottom of the TOP button on the dash and the windows go down and the top goes down. If I tap the TOP button at the top, the top goes up and the windows close. You do NOT need to hold that damn button the entire time for the down/up positioning of the top.
This gadget is great for convertibles.
