Is this normal front caliper behavior?
Anyhow - when I last updated this thread about the noisy Carbotech's on the driver front (https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-new-pads.html)... I had again pulled both front wheels - pulled the pads - touched them to a belt sander to remove the glazing... and this time when I replaced things I swapped inside pad for outside pad... AND side to side... i.e. driver inside went to passenger outside, etc etc. I put everything back together and reset the trip meter since it has consistently taken about 140 miles for the swish-swish-swish to return...
Closer to 400 miles and both sides remain silent.
So either - I finished lifting race compounds off the rotors and it "just got silent" - or - there is something about the pad / rotor matchup on the driver side that was just "unhappy" and moving things around solved it... I dunno... but case solved.
Next track event when I pull the street pads I will be very sure to mark which one came from where and see if they go back on and are silent when put back that way!
