I tested the Launch Control on my 2019 Corvette Grand Sport (manual 7-speed) today for the first time! I've put 2500 miles on the rocket ship since I bought it new, and decided it was now time to test it out. After two successful launches, I received a message saying "Service Safety Restraint System" and the "Airbag" light came on. After driving a few more miles and going to eat, I returned to my car and the light was off. Anything I should be concerned about, or has this happened to anyone else?
Mat,
I too have a manual trans Grand Sport and I have done launch control twice now and the same exact thing happened to me both times. I haven not taken mine in to get it checked. Have you?
Happened to me, but not during launch control, just a very hot / demanding day at the track. 3 other track days after light never came on again...
Mat and Scott, Interesting. I have not had the opportunity to take my 2019 Grand Sport on the track yet, but really looking forward to it. If the air bag light issue raises it's ugly head again, you might try making sure the clips are secure, under the seats ( the kind of plastic clips that plug wires into connections). I think I read on the forums that loose connections there can cause air bag light issues. I checked, and it seemed like one of mine felt loose and slipped together more tightly when I pinched the two pieces together (could have been my imagination, but the two pieces really seemed to slip together much more tight. Then, when I did a launch control after that I did not get an air bag warning light. Who knows if his really had anything to do with it but I thought it was worth mentioning. Have not tried it since. Let me know if I can provide a more clear explanation of the clips I am talking about.

I think I even saw some speculating that if you are the type that moves your seat waaay back to get in and out of the care, and then perhaps moves the seat waaaay forward for driving position (like me), that it could possibly cause that clip/connection to separate a bit, causing the air bag light issue. I am curious if you two also frequently move your seats forward and back a lot (Mat and Scott).

There's a thread going on in the ZR1 section right now about that same issue. Seems it's related to hard driving of the car and hitting bumps and things like that. I'm not sure if those guys found a solution but it was a very recent thread.

I've been on the track over 30 times in the past two years, I don't move the seat at all, it's usually all the way back, I'm about 6' 1", mostly "leg" length vs. "torso" length. So this issue happened just once to me.
