Does anyone know where the AM/FM antenna is and where any other connectors associated with this function are?
My AM and FM radio reception just became very poor, like it is suffering from a lack of input signal level. It happened once before but somehow cured itself which often means there is a loose connection somewhere.
Before I drive to the dealer (the car is a 17 Z06 model still under bumper to bumper warranty) I'd rather fix it myself if it is just a loose antenna connection,
The XM signal seems to be fine since the reception is excellent.
By some magic the FM radio started working perfectly this morning. This is the second time this has happened.
I guess I'll just have to monitor it and see if any weather conditions, being out in the rain etc. have any effect before taking it to the dealer.
As it sits now the only thing the dealer could do is go through the wiring from antenna to receiver and re-plug any connector and tighten any lugs in the path.
It's almost impossible to fix something that is working but has intermittent failures every now and then and be sure you long term solved the issue..
I'm having issues as well with mine, but mine isn't intermittent.
Looks like I'm going to be pulling off my rear fascia when I finish building my new garage and get my lift installed.
