Range device on a 2014

Do I need a range device on a 14 Z51 auto? Looking to avoid issues. Haven't heard of the need but want to be sure.

This is an outstanding product. I just installed on my 2016 with A8. Much smoother power delivery with no more jerking. I highly recommend you install one.

I have it on my 2014 Z51 Auto. Love it. No issues at all, and dont have to deal with the V4 crap.

This is good to know. But will I have problems with my automatic like the 8 speed if I do not install one?

From my understanding, the A6 tranny on the '14 is rock solid unlike the A8 on the 15 & up. I would say you only "need" it if you don't want the crapulate A4 mode. GM should never had put that on any vette ever.
