So I took my C7 7spd manual with roughly let’s say 850whp to the strip 2 weeks ago, only got to make 2 1/8 mile passes as the crew and track was a mess. Spun both times off the line, prep was actually done well though. Best 60’ of 2.1 and trapped 7.4@108 in the 1/8. 2 days later I take the car into dealer to get the fancy new 2019 magnetic ride update. Fast forward to the weekend and went back to the strip. Left car in Touring mode (more weight transfer to rear), held trac control button until all was off and did my burnout. I noticed a green line at 4,000rpm on the tach and never remembered seeing that last weekend. Pulled up to stage and got lined up and put the car in 2nd to try to eliminate wheel spin. Launched car and looking at pic the front tires were about ready to come up and the front end falls and the car starts bucking on me. Foot to the floor it bucked and would only give me 2500rpm. Had a badass 3.0 sec 60’ time and it finally gave me rpm’s and I trapped 137 in the 1/4. I was pissed and no clue why that happened so I went back and lined up again. Tried first gear since there were zero problems last weekend. Same issue, got pissed and put in clutch and hit throttle until it gave me rpm’s again. Dropped the clutch and kaboom the diff went.
Obviously with this power I need to upgrade the diff anyways. Any chance the new shock programming activated launch control differently and was causing that issue taking off? I’m at a loss. I really don’t want to lose the e locker features of the stock diff as I do road course as well with the car by going with an RPM diff. What other options are out there??
