I read a thread about a suspension update that may or may not apply to my vehicle. My 17 GS did not show any action needed when the dealer ran my VIN but the post implied I am able to have the update. Anyone know for sure? Thanks!
They are looking into it and it may cost more than 350.00 now.
This is a new world for the dealer service department so they may be seriously confused about what to do or how to do it or how much to charge. Some dealers have added a computer service charge to the $350 from GM. They aren't supposed to do that. Even excellent shops can founder over this as it is not well documented/understood.
Just think what will happen with the C8 and the other GM vehicles that come with the Global B architecture which is designed to provide maintenance updates and feature updates so owners can add new or revised features as they become available.
My salesman just emailed me, seems these updates are only available at Performance Center Dealers. Closest one he knows of is 201 miles away from me. Long way to go on cracked rims.

Any dealer can do this, sounds like they are just too lazy to figure it out! I had to walk my nearest dealership through it also. It shouldn't be this difficult to spend money

Any “reputable” dealer will charge you $350. Contrary to what they told you, they don’t have to be a “performance” dealer. Sounds like they haven’t done one of these upgrades yet and are uninformed about it. Also, the suggested price of $350 is listed in the details.
I did this upgrade to my 17 z vert. If you are doing this upgrade SOLELY to prevent bent/cracked wheels, then don’t waste your money. Although it’s a noticeably better ride in Tour an Sport, I bent 3 wheels and cracked the 4th rim AFTER I did the upgrade. Did the damage on Interstate 81 in PA driving to Corvettes of Carlisle. Driving over the road heaves on the Interstate. The upgrade won’t eliminate the weakness of the wheels.
