Recently bought a 2015 Z51 and knew right off the bat it needed to be louder.

Spent some time researching and ultimately decided on AWE's x pipe. Install was a breeze even without a lift and everything went together super easy. The welds on the pipe are very clean and fitment was great. I would recommend replacing the exhaust gaskets while you're under there.

If anyone's on the fence, you won't be disappointed! It gave the car a nice growl and increased volume a decent amount, without being obnoxious. Next up will be an axle back kit to really wake it up!

Here's a startup video of the x pipe (no other exhaust mods)

Hope this helps someone that's deciding on x pipe purchase

I am interested in upgrading my exhaust during the "off season", i.e. Winter.

What drove you to AWE vs AFE, others, just curious? I only track my car, and would like a bit louder and more power in my decision.

Overall cost/build quality would prob be the main.
I was on the fence with awe vs corsa for the X pipe. The Borla one reuses the factory cats so really is a waste of money.

I would say an x pipe is good for sound, but not sure how much actual power you would see by itself. If you want to go a step louder, then put on the valveback kit and it sounds AMAZING! My buddy has it on his 2014 Z51.

I just installed mine too. Love it!

The touring axle back portion makes it even wilder.. I'm in love....

I'll be positing a review and sound clips soon.

I have a 2015 convertible with the Z-51 package and the A-8 tranny. I have added the very same pipe and really like the sound too. I have also added a Mild 2 Wild so when automatic mode I can still keep the NPP valves open at all times. I am going to upgrade my mufflers soon and am interested in the same set up as you have mentioned, but do not want to loose the NPP functionality...AWE doesn't seem to offer any systems with the NPP....please correct me if I am mistaken...The quality of the AWE X pipe cannot be beat...that's for sure...

Yes that's correct. The AWE kits (touring or race) both eliminate the NPP valves.

I will say though that my friend's car that has the touring kit on it is relatively tame when cruising, however when you get on it, well that's a whole other story!

I'm currently debating on either doing the touring axle back kit from them or just doing cat delete pipes for now with the factory NPP mufflers..

Decisions decisions.....

I would love to hear a "drive by" with the set up your friend has...

Did you have NPP valves prior?...If so, what did you do with the wiring? Any codes?

You don't hook the NPP up to anything, just cover it up so it doesn't get exposed. But no codes. I had NPP on mine.

Like Josh said, you just zip the harness out of the way.

No different than pulling the fuse. No codes.
