Default Another A8 bucking when cold problem

I know this a topic has been visited several times with various responses. I’m an unfortunate buyer that owns a 2015 LT2 that has the cold start bucking problem. I realize it’s probably the seal that’s leaking. What I’d like to know is this a warranty item or out of pocket expense. If out of pocket, what can I expect it to cost. I also have little faith in my local dealers. I’d appreciate some advice

What "seal" are you referring to ??...anytime I see a "cold start" issue when cold I think of ECT (engine coolant temp) sensor issues...seeing where you live if the engine computer "thinks" the car is warmed up when first started injector pulse width will not be increased and "richen up the mixture" so to speak...I'd see what your coolant temp is reading when cold...should read close to outside air temp sitting overnight !!!...I'd see if you DTC's (codes) if you can get your hands on a scan tool...maybe your local auto box store can help !!

U are not alone...I have a 2015 Z-51 A-8 with the same issue...I live in N.E. Ga. and originally thought it had to do with low temps...not...before I could reason with making a claim at my dealer early spring it went away on its own...well OK I guess...not...it came back again in the middle of this summer at 90 degrees out...I am in process of resolution from my servicing dealer of which they tell me that they have never heard of such a thing...LOL...glad I am not alone...best of luck!

Further reply...this should be covered under your drive train warranty...u sound very unhappy...please keep in mind that you are "fortunate" enough to be the owner of one of the most technologically advanced high performance sports cars on the market...if you expect things to be perfect...you are mistaken...does you cell phone always work?...just as an example with no disrespect intended... this forum really helps when things go wrong.... don't be so down on things man....

My 15 does this as well. The outside temp has nothing to do with it. There is a check valve in the torque converter that causes the issue as it leaks when the car sits. Mine was "fixed" where it was good for a while then got bad again. Then the trans was replaced and it was good for a while then got bad again. Now I just live with it.

Wow, I have noticed this on my car. I have to pay attention if it happens all the time when cold. In FL it never gets cold outside.

Had an appointment at my dealer to take a look at this issue... and before I could get he car there "poof" the problem is gone again! Frustrating...but none the less very worth the ownership of the car....
