Hey Everyone, So I have a 2014 Z51 3LT that just hot 17,000 miles. I bought it in September with 15,000 miles.
3 weeks ago I ordered new Stance SF08 Wheels, and in the rears I am running 305's on 11 Inch Wide Wheels. Almost immediately on the highway when I hit dips I noticed the right rear would rub. The left rear tire doesnt rub. Yesterday I noticed that the right rear wheel seems to stick out just a bit more than the left rear, so right away I thought maybe the tire place when they ordered the wheels got 2 different offsets in by mistake, but this morning I took the car to the tire shop and they dismounted the rear tires and both are +73 offset so no difference, but even they can see that the left rear is a tad more flush than the right rear which would explain the right side rubbing and not the left.
Any idea's of what could cause the issue? They even swapped wheels for a minute to make sure it wasnt a issue with the right rim. But when they put the left rim on the right side, it did the same thing.
Visually you can tell the right side sticks out a tad more than the left. When i bought the car, it showed no accidents on the Car Fax in case that helps as well.
You can't put all your trust in Car Fax. My buddy did 6000.00 of repairs to his car and and paid for it himself so it wouldn't show up in Car Fax. When I bought my '16 in August of '19, I had the dealer put the car on the lift before I bought it. If you know what to look for, then you should be okay.
