Hey guys. Sorry I’m advance if I posted in the wrong area. New to this forum, I own a 2014 stingray z51 7mt. I just got this babe a few days ago and I hear a click/tick sound coming from inside the car. Sounds like plastic? Not too aware of these newer cars, previous corvette was a c5. At first I thought it was the radio/speakers but even when turned off. I hear a click sound coming from the inside. Any help or direction to the correct area would be appreciated!
I have a 14 as well and believe I have the same issue. On mine it's the ac vent. The vent on the right side of the steering wheell is a little loose. So next time your driving hold onto it and see if it stops. Hope this helps....
Can you not localize it at all? Terribly difficult without at least that. Yes, it can be the top, especially at the back mounting points. It can be at the speakers, even if the stereo is off (the turn-signal "click" emanates there from, for example). It can even be the rear valve assembly if it has variable exhaust, or rear axle nuts... see the problem with remote diagnosis? .
