You may want to be more specific as to your goals and you will get answers. I don’t have a Z, but I imagine headers and a tune is a great start.

You might consider getting to know the car before modifying it. If you want more noise (my wife does not), add an x-pipe and delete secondary cats. If you want a few more ponies, headers, a high-flow filter and a tune. Once you tune, your factory warranty is gone.

That said, the Z is pretty solid 'out-of-the-box'. Keeping warranty, I'd consider the high flow filter (BMS is what I own), an X-pipe / cat delete and Soler throttle body for better throttle response. That's it.

Oh & your bride has excellent taste - congratulations on the new addition to the family. Ford will catch up in another decade or so ...

Here's a start. Lots of thread on this topic in here.
Things I did:
- AFE CAI
- Borla Xpipe
- Borla exhaust
I didn't tune it, to keep the warranty, or dyno it, so I don't know the gains, but it did pull harder. And it sounded mean

The easiest things I think you can do yourself are the CAI and the catless Xpipe

Hello, Tommy. Congrats. Please, consider us. There are very few Mods, if any, that will transform our cars so fundamentally for the amount you'll spend with our Mods. They are also extremely easy to install and warranty safe. This Mod is hard to beat from any angle you look at it.

Check the thread below or visit our website to understand what's about.

Thanks,
