I purchased a dash cam with front and rear cameras. Currently I run power to the cameras using a cable plugged into my cigarette lighter. I contacted the company and they sent me a cable that allows the camera to be power when the ignition is on and turns off when the ignitions is off ; so it doesn’t sit in my garage, in the on state, and drain my battery I am having trouble figuring out where to plug this in ( see the attached photo. The yellow wire is hot all of the time, and the red is switched power. Any help would be appreciated. Mitch.
If that wire is long enough I would tap it into the fuse block in the trunk area. since the battery is there you'll have a solid constant 12v source and a good ground. Also, if I recall correctly I am using fuse location 37 for switched power.
