Oil change confimation

How can you determine if an oil change has been done? New base Stingray with 500 miles.

In your case, you wait until the oil life monitor indicates an oil change is required and then take it to the dealer for a complimentary oil change.

Easiest first step is to check with a dealer. If they did it, it would be logged.

Base Stingrays don't call for a 500-mile oil change. Only the Z51 and higher with dry-sump oil systems.

There is no reason for the dealer to have done so on a base St'ray at that point. If completed earlier than the indicator suggests, it is at the owner's discretion. For example, I did my first myself at 1500 miles upon my return home from Kerbeck's when I bought it.

I just go with 5W30 full synthetic in my '16.
I also use whatever name brand is cheapest.
Lately, I've been using Napa brand. It's made by Valvoline.
I daily drive my Vette and have a lot of miles on it.
