A8 Manual Mode 2019 LT1
When in manual mode do you have to use paddles. I’ve been using the paddles. Haven’t tried it without paddles because I concerned that I might mess up transmission. My question is: will manual mode shift without paddles?

In manual mode the transmission will hold the current gear until you shift. The transmission will automatically downshift through the gears as the vehicle slows. The transmission will not upshift on its own and you will hit the rev limiter if you do not shift.
