Default Car died while driving

Hopefully someone can help here, was driving my modified 2017 gs and engine died while driving(still had electronics on in car). Pulled off to an empty parking lot and tried starting again but starter started smoking. Had it towed to performance shop. Saw voltage was low on battery so i swapped out and started car but died shortly after. Shop replaced starter and car started but would run shortly then die and would have to wait to start up again. Thought we had tuning issues since it's a cammed car. Took it for a drive and lost power to everything. 350a fuse blown, has anyone had similar issues or can post some insight on this?

Don't know what the exact problem might be but if you blew a 350 amp fuse that's a major overload or short circuit in the battery bus wiring. You're lucky the fuse went out, otherwise, you probably would have had a car fire. I'd get a dealer involved that really knows the electrical/electronics systems. Let us know what you eventually find.

If you have headers check the wiring going to starter and maybe the one leading up into the fuse box.

I agree on this but also how long from the mods that was done to the car, to the time it started doing this also... Robert

Well found out motor seized up which blew that fuse. Looks like thrust bearing but still waiting on motor to be pulled.

😞 sorry to hear op, take this as an opportunity to make her better! Not rushing to judgment but how long have you driven it since the mods? Might be a case of poor tuning/mechanical issue on the shop. Hopefully that is not the case but are they well known/experienced with the lt drivetrain?
