Default C7 Stingray Whipple Install

I purchased a Whipple supercharger for my 2014 C7 stingray LT1 through WeaponX. (Bolt on kit!) Has anyone installed this 2.9 L supercharger in a base model stingray? It currently looks like the hood will not close on my friends and lacks approximately 4 inches of doing so. All I have seen from posts are Z06 models. No 2014 C7 Stingray installation instructions were given from WeaponX.

That's a lot of blower for a stock LT1. I know you'll have to cut the cowl all the way back to wipers almost. The hood should clear but may have to remove the hood liner.

If you remove the hood liner, will that not cause too much heat on the actual hood? My buddy is missing right at 4”. The liner will not be that much. I do not want a rub or to have to remove the hood liner.

Please keep thinking. This is getting really crazy.

There needs to be breathing room and air flow around the supercharger.

WeaponX states that it is a bolt on system. They do say that you have to cut the cowl and provided a template.

I was thinking they also suggested cutting part of the inner structure on the hood as well but hopefully I am wrong on that one.

Wow, thats a lot of blower for that car! I do believe you have to cut into the wiper cowling for clearance. Post pics during the install. Out of curiousity what made you go this route with so many other easier blower options?

will do pics.

Liked the twin screw screw and was told that this was a bolt on kit. It is far from bolt on! A buddy has one in his GT and I loved to power all the way through the entire horse power range.
