I found this dangling from under the driver's side dash of my new GS on the way home from the dealer, 50 miles away. It looks like a little speaker of some sort but I couldn't hear any sound coming from it.

Thanks for the tip. Do you know if that can be fished back up to the pillar?

I'm sure it can be but I'm not sure what stands it in its way.

Me either. My fear is that it is not going to be easy and that's why some J.O. tried to stuff it back under the dash instead if fixing right to begin with.

This is the second time I've seen a post where the dash speaker just fell out.

The grill just snaps off: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...h-tweeter.html however you have to get the A-pillar trim off and I don't see the directions for that.

Removing the A pillar involves removing the sun visor and the part that it snaps onto and the rest, IIRC is just disconnecting some connectors and releasing the retaining clips holding that upper dome light fascia and A pillar. Not terribly involved so it should be a fairly quick trip to the dealer.

I decided to take it in to the dealer where I normally have my service work done. I know the service writer and explained the circumstances to him. Looks like it probably won't be as bad as I had feared.

Got the car back yesterday. Perfect! Service writer said that it would be absolutely impossible for that speaker to haver fallen through. For sure has to come from bowling green that way. Thanks one and all for your fantastic help!

GLAD it's worked out, but that's pitiful! The last thing I'd want is some jack-leg dealer "tech" f**king with trying to "fix" it. I'd prefer zip-tying it out of sight wherever I could get it to reach and forgetting it. But, despite such foolishness, ENJOY your Vette!!!
