Default Seafoam LT1?

Howdy all, Curious if using a can of Seafoam on the Lt1 is ok. Would like to clean out the carbon buildup that may or may not be there. Figure basic spray through Throttle body will suffice.

thanks!

Sorry... you might be confused on the question. I was asking if it was ok/safe to use seafoam on the LT1. I was not asking for a corvette jacket opinion.....

Plenty of threads with pics showing carbon buildup isn't a concern with the LT1.

LT1 has direct injection - fuel does not directly wash the back of the intake valve. I don't see how Seafoam would help.

and even then ... there is no problems with the valves coking up ...GM does not have the problem with DI that the other manufacturers have

I had a friend spray Seafoam into his Ford DI engine through the throttle body... the result was the dash lit up like a Christmas tree and it instantly started missing and running poorly in general.
Ended up being towed to the dealership where they had to remove the intake manifold and clean sensors and Seafoam out of everything.

I see that Seafoam says its for DI engines in their marketing but Im not sure how effective it is without fuel in the intake port to wash it down.
Personally I would not use it on my car. I also see guys here getting away running E85 without a sensor or tune also but, Im still not going to try it. lol!

30k on mine and they look pretty damn good. Nothing compared to the amount of carbon my Subaru had after 20k.

I ran a can through my intake when I picked the car up last year. I also added a catch can which is emptied every 5th fill up. It always has a couple of ounces of gas/oil mix in it.

The moron probably didn’t have the engine up to temp.
