Hi folks. We have had a Torch Red 2014 Z51 A6 that we bought new in 2013. Best car I've ever had. But we just bought a slightly used Yellow Z06 3LZ A8 (9000 miles). Wife has been bugging me for yellow ever since we bought the red one.
Anyway, it has brand new Michelin Pilot Sports on it. Sweet! But I just discovered the front tires are the wrong size. They are 285/35x19 instead of the correct 285/30x19. They are about an inch taller. They seem to drive and handle great. My question is whether that might affect any of the stability programs: ELSD, tradition control, etc. I haven't noticed anything but thought I'd through the question out there. Of corse, now that I know, the front tires look a bit tall

They are now about the same height as the rear tires. We have ran square sized tires with no problems. The diff only cares side to side. If you haven't noticed a problem by now you're probably okay.
I've personally driven with stock front tires and 1 inch taller rear, no problems. I don't foresee the opposite being either.
I have a 15 Z06 with 285/35/19 tires on front and 325/30/20 on the rear. They drive fine. The fronts rub when hard track driving but I haven't experienced anything unusual on the track or the street.
What are the rears? If the fronts are non-ZP and rears are OEM ZP size, for instance, the tire compound will be slightly different: not a great thing, but OK. Due to front/rear diameters being closer, the traction control will also be a bit more sensitive, especially in more nanny-intense milder modes (Touring, Weather, etc.).
Thanks for the replies. All tires are the correct run flats.I noticed the fronts do rub a tad during "spirited" back road driving. But otherwise it drives great.
