When driving in D does the AFM disengage when shift paddles are used?

Yes, it stays in V8 with the gear shift in manual. Hm... If you keep the gear shift showing the "M" but it reverts when it drops back to "D" for sure

I meant using paddles when gear shift is in D.

When you are in D and you start slapping paddles, look down at the console and it'll be showing M BUT you're still in D. It times out after you leave the paddles alone and switches back to D. The shifter itself never moves but the indicator shows the D/M/D change.
