Default Weird problem on my 2019 Stingray

I experienced a weird temporary problem and am looking for some input. The car drove fine yesterday. Had it out to run errands for about an hour. Pulled into garage, shut it off, but continued to listen to the radio for about a minute or two. When the song was over, I absentmindedly pressed the start button wanting to shut off the radio and got the message to press brake and clutch to start. Duh! Since I didn't want to start it, I just got out of the car and locked it.
The radio continued to play and would not shut off. Got back in the car, pressed brake and clutch and tried to start the car. It turned once and shut down. Not like it couldn't start. More like I took my finger off the start button in the middle of the start, which I didn't. Tried again, same thing. And a third time! Nervous now, I tried once more and the car started fine and ran fine. Shut it off and all was normal. So...do I have a problem or no? Any idea what caused this?

No problem. Pushing the start button without brake / clutch depressed puts the car into ACCESSORY mode. Everything should shut down in 5 min. Push the start button again to shut down sooner.

Just turning off the motor activates Retained Accessory Power (RAP). Radio and electrical should shut off in 10 min.

From the 2019 manual:

ACC/ACCESSORY (Amber
Indicator Light)
: This mode allows
the use of some electrical
accessories when the engine is off.
With the ignition off, pressing the
button one time without the brake
pedal applied will place the ignition
system in ACC/ACCESSORY.
The ignition will switch from ACC/
ACCESSORY to off after
five minutes to prevent battery
rundown.

Retained Accessory
Power (RAP)

Some vehicle accessories may be
used after the ignition is turned off.
The power windows and sunroof,
if equipped, will continue to work for
up to 10 minutes or until any door is
opened.
The infotainment system will
continue to work for 10 minutes,
until the driver door is opened,
or until the ignition is turned on or
placed in ACC/ACCESSORY

Ok. Got it. Would that explain why the car wouldn't start for several tries? It acted as if I didn't hold the start button in long enough, even though I didn't release any pressure on the start button, brakes, or clutch. Then, after several tries, the car started normally. Did the computer just hit a momentary bug?

I don't know why it would not start. It may be possible to confuse the computer with many pushes of the start button - but I'm guessing. The start button doesn't need to be held until the motor starts, but just a couple seconds to indicate the button wasn't bumped accidentally.

Sometimes you need to open the driver's door to clear RAP mode. The car can be too smart for itself sometimes...

Someone else had mentioned that is you pressed the start and held it for 10 secs without brake or clutch it will go into acc mode that will stay ON and overrides the 5-10 min rule.

You are talking about SERVICE mode. Hold the start button 5 seconds, but remember to push start button again to shut off.

Op may have gotten himself into service mode. This would explain why the engine would not start...

It is ALL in the OWNER'S MANUAL! Search for IGNITION POSITIONS.

Service Mode
This power mode is available for
service and diagnostics, and to
verify the proper operation of the
malfunction indicator lamp as may
be required for emission inspection
purposes. With the vehicle off, and
the brake pedal not applied,
pressing and holding ENGINE
START/STOP for more than
five seconds will place the vehicle in
Service Mode. The instruments and
audio systems will operate as they
do in ON/RUN, but the vehicle will
not be able to be driven. The engine
will not start in Service Mode. Press
ENGINE START/STOP again to turn
the vehicle off.
