Long tubes and catless x-pipe question
I’m installing an A&A kit and meth injection this week and considering long tubes also. Pulling memories from my LS1 F Body days, I had a system that had drop out high flow cats that could be replaced with a straight pipe in a matter of minutes. Without the cats, the exhaust was really raspy and the fumes were really bad. My question, hows the exhaust tone (stock mufflers) and how bad are the fumes? Any significant HP/torque difference between catted vs non? TY.

I can't answer on the tone with stock mufflers as I have a set of corsa on mine but with no cats I have the typical stinky exhaust. So if you don't want the smell I would consider a set of high flow cats just make sure they are compatible with your fi set up. Talk to some of the guys over in the fi section of the forum and see what they are using for their set ups.
