I bought my GS with some minor damage to the front splitter and lower center air deflector.
I went to Chevrolet and bought both parts. The splitter came with rivets and diagram. I used all the old screws.
I used a 7mm socket, drill, and rivet gun. Was really easy. Easy after I built "ramps" 😁 Scratched it pretty good including the blue part of the bumper. Can't really see it though All done.
I don't really have any good place to work on it, so I make due with what I have.
I drilled out the rivets first then removed the screws. I simply reversed the order and saved myself whatever the dealer would have charged.
I'll put the savings towards new tires. 😁
*edit* I posted this only to show how easy it is. I was nervous when the directions say to drill, but it is only for the rivet heads. My "ramps" gave me 8" of clearance and is plenty.

Reason: added stuff
I realize this is an older thread, but I had a question: what kind of rivet gun did you use to attach the new rivets? How much room do you need to attach the new rivets? I was thinking about putting on a more aggressive front splitter. Also, did you look at any aftermarket splitters and if so what did you think about them?
I also add a comment: there's really no excuse for Chevrolet using rivets here. They should've used screws with a recessed six- or eight-point contact area to thread them in and out. Would be much easier to work on.

As my post says, I had a about 8 inches to work with with the ramps. I did not look at other splitters. I used a regular rivet gun that has several size attachments. It's easy.
