Default Help! Lost my front cameras

Hi all, I installed the Z06 grille on my Z51 today, and when I got it all back together and drove it, the front cameras won't work, I just get a black screen. The backup cameras still work, of course. I know I connected the cameras back, I even zip tied them shut because I was worried they may come loose because the snap on the connector broke off. From what I remember, they only go back together one way due to shape.

Any ideas what could be wrong? I was too afraid to test before I buttoned everything up since I would have had to take everything down off jack stands and actually put it 1st.

Thanks!

My guess is it has to be those connections. If it was the video processing control unit I would think the rear camera would go out as well, but you may need to take it in to have it calibrated and checked.

Yes they only go one way in. But they are very fragile. I would double-check, but here's the thing. Losing TWO cameras is a lot. I've lost one before and it was a loose connection, but losing two is quite odd. That would mean that both connections (plugs) either aren't in right or came loose, which is not very likely. But I would start there, and also check fuses.

Here are some schematics and info from my 2017 Z06 Service Manual.

Sometimes the most obvious answer is the obvious answer or starting point. They worked before you disconnected them. They don't work after you reconnect them. Same cameras, same VPC, connections new.

I'd revisit the connections to look for loose or not fully seated plugs or bent pins.

I’ll check the fuse, maybe that’s it. I can live without them but it’s frustrating and I don’t want to have to take it all apart again. Putting it back lined up just right was a pain.

I wonder if I could just take the skid plate off and reach them? Anyone ever tried that?

Also, I was wondering if there was some kind of recalibration period where maybe it takes a cycles to work again...

C5Vert,
thanks for the post of service manual pages. Could you please post pg 13-72, which shows how to recalibrate/align mirrors?
Thanks,
