I smell Radiator fluid after a drive and hear something dripping on the exhaust hissing. When I checked what is dripping the fluid looks clear and doesn't have a smell?
any ideas? I'm out of warranty and don't want to get bent over at the dealership!
So if you're running the A/C or defroster, the dripping sound might be the condensation..
The radiator smell, I think may be somewhat common after long runs or long periods of idling, however, there was a TSB on porous heads, so if the smell is constant, you'd need to get that thing up on a lift for the tech to check it out.. If the smell is intermittent, I'd still be conscious as to when it occurs..
It is there even on short 5 mile drives back and forth to work. Today is the first time I saw the dripping under the car.
I contacted the dealer waiting on response but this car is beginning to be a pain in the ***.
First the transmission flush for the shutter - covered under TSB
Then the Brake sensors replaced - Not Covered even with GM knowing about the problem $500
Now this!
Well CRAP.
Took it to the Dealer and it has a leak right smack dab in the middle of the Big inter-cooler. No dents or marks on the fins but it is leaking there?
Out of the 36 month bumper to bumper warranty so a freaking 950 dollar fix! What else can wrong on this car?
Car has 8500 miles and GM didn't cover it claiming rock damage? All I saw were a few dead bugs and it was leaking in the middle of the fins? .... Feeling a little frustrated!
