Default MGW shifter

I know it most likely been gone over, but I just want to rave about my short shifter. What a difference it makes. It shifts like I would have assumed it would have day one. If you're new to your car and looking for a good first upgrade I would highly recommend one.

Much more solid, positive shifts, no more sloppy shifts. I don't recall now but I believe like the Pro5.0 for fbody helps with the 2-3 shift centering as well. Trust us, just do it! (Get the race handle, like me, if you don't like super duper short throws - also helps not missing shifts when racing or banging hard).

Yup you will notice a difference. Hopefully you would like it. I looked at a LOT of reviews, and would say over 90% were positive. I find it more accurate or less vague than stock. I did not notice a difference in actual force required, with the exception of reverse taking a little more effort.

I had 3 mustangs prior to my Corvette. Used the Steeda Triax in 2 of them. The MGW is very similar. The stock one is okay. It’s just vague to me. The MGW is much easier to feel the gear.

So, I agree with all that's been said. The biggest difference I feel is the crispness. So you will definitely notice if your just driving normal around town. I did notice that banging gears was way better. Quicker and more precise. Super nice and the install isn't hard. Their YouTube videos are great for installation. Highly recommended!

Unless you can find someone selling a used one, you might as well buy it directly from MGW. I've never found a source that sells them for less than what MGW sells them for.

When I bought one for my Shelby (~6 years ago), MGW had periodic sales during which you could save up to 10%. More recently, I shopped the C7 version for months before buying late last year. There were no sales and the biggest discount available was 5% (which amounts to free shipping). At the time, MGW's coupon code was MGWPATRIOT. Good luck!

Thanks everyone. Ordered the MGW today. There is a 4-5 week delay. Orders are thru the roof since covid. That sucks for me because I will need to reinstall the center console to use the existing shifter in the meantime.

Anyone know where to order the Leather boot for the shifter? I have not really looked but I assume it can be easily replaced?
