Any one know the diff between the elite catch can original and the knew E2 elite. I know the new one has an extra port and slightly larger oil capacity.I do not care about those improvements unless it scubas thrill off better. Any one know ? thanks in advance for reply.

I went to both the Elite Engineering and Moroso websites and looked at their catch can product offerings. I had used Moroso for many years on my performance Mustangs and was aware of their products. They were well made with "no" plastic fittings. Everything was well engineered. I took a look at Elite Engineering's website and their latest Elite catch can for the Corvette which uses a lot of plastic parts. I question how good will a catch can hold up with plastic components in an engine compartment. I have used Moroso product support service in the past and they were very good and knew their product very well. They were very helpful at helping me install my catch cans. It seems like their has not been much activity by Elite Engineering on this forum in the past 3 years. I would recommend you take a look at Moroso catch cans. They have videos on their website that explains how they work and how to install. I was very pleased with them on my Mustangs.

The can still functions the same. Their ability to filter is out oil and acids from combustion is remarkable. The E2 does offer a dual port set up for two vacuum lines. Having the second vacuum line is a must on forced induction vehicles. Without the second port when you go full throttle there is no vacuum. So technically the catch can isn't doing anything and all that oil vapor is getting burned at full throttle. This can cause your a/f ratio to be off and it can even cause knock. With the second port in place near the air filter you will always get vacuum even at full throttle. On a roots style blower you start making boost at just above idle so that second port is very important.

Also, there are no plastic fittings on any of the Elite products we have used.
