Default LG Motorsports header experience?

I Have a 2019 Grand Sport and I am considering installing a set of LG 1 7/8 long tube headers. Any one have any experience with these headers--both good or bad. Appreciate any info you can give, install ease, fitment issues, sound levels both catted and uncatted, power gains with a tune, any info at all?

I had catless 1 3/4 LG headers on a dry sump c6 GS. The shop had their work cut out for them with fitment issues, but they sounded incredible bolted up to NPP exhaust with the valves open.

My c6 had LG headers and except for the flange being drilled to tight making getting the boots in a pain in the butt they fit fine

I have 1 17/8 Hooker Headers and they fit good with no clearance issues.

The guy who posed above about the shop having problems , what kind did they have ?
Mine were tough getting up into place but once in they were in place everything bolted up fine

The headers themselves were slightly different lengths and they had to cut the x-pipe to get everything to line up properly under the car. The difference was pretty visible when the car was jacked up. Aside from that, I loved the way they sounded. I picked up about 40 rwhp with the headers and FAST LSX 102mm intake manifold.

Are u sure the x pipe was not upside down ... my C6 was the same because of the way the exhaust ports are on the heads. Had to flip the x pipe and it all lined up ....

Sounds great !!!

I can't imagine that. It was a reputable shop that has done tons of late model LS/LT stuff (Weapon-X Motorsports). I remember hearing rumors that they had made certain things in China and I must have gotten some from a bad batch.

I agree. No way Weapon X would not know how to put the x pipe on correctly . That socks that they had to modify them as they are expensive

I put 2" LG on my 2014 Z51, They were a bear to install clearance wise but they do fit without any modifications. X-pieps and everything fit up perfectly. I did add a little extra thermal protection a couple of place whether or not it was needed or not. I used the 2" only because I thought they might be a little better with the ECS supercharger. My guess is that the 1 7/8" would eliminate much of the tight fit issues and clearance concerns that I had. They do sound great no resonances that I have experienced with some sysytems.
