2017 m7 z51 - with vararam, Solar TB/TC, AWE xpipe
all has been fine, no issues, today go to drive in a little neighborhood parade and the engine is acting weird....CEL on and the revs are slowly creeping up, once they get to about 3000 they drop down to 600 but its a little rough. When driving, if i accelerate in a gear to any RPM and take my foot off the gas, it will stay there and not drop unless i shift to a higher gear to bring them down.
Any thoughts on what to do? I am thinking it has to do with the TC....help is truly appreciated....thanks guys

Check the CEL code; any major chain auto parts store will do it for free. I'd agree though, likely the TC.
I know he's commented on one of the wiring harnesses being a bit tough & finicky. Check to make sure they're securely plugged in.
yeah just double checked and from what I can see it looks good....
have in neutral and get rpmsup to 3k and they slowly come down like 100 every five seconds but don’t come all the way down....oil pressure looks good and all temps look good...feels like something with tc

Hey OP (jipper), do you know if you have Mike’s (Soler’s) new style TB (NO SHAFT ON THE FRONT OF THE BUTTERFLY) or he’s original old style TB with shafts on both sides of the butterfly?
This strikes me as the place to start. While it is unlikely the TC failed, it is possible.
Have you tried setting the TC to a very conservative program to see how the throttle and RPM responds? This will give you a sense as to whether the TC has a major problem.
Another thing to try is to pull the fuse for the ECM and let the car sit for 15 minutes or so while it resets. Replace the fuse and check to see how the car drives. This will clear the adaptation for the TB and gives the car an opportunity to relearn.
The Pedal Comander and the Vitesse throttle controllers have done the same thing , I am confident that the throttle controller created a fault which caused acceleration. that is not suppose to happen with modern drive by wire systems as the ECM takes voltage readings from two sources and if they don't match it is suppose to set a reduced power code to stop excatly what happened to you . These systems are very sensitive to voltage change, ie read this as an older battery that is having a hard time supplying a steady voltage
There are sporadic reports on both the other brands causing "unintended " acceleration but many more "reduce power" report's . With the Vitesse the need to recalibrate it almost always coincide with a weak battery
This in no way a bash on Mike's product as I have a Vitesse on both my C6 and my C7 and both, when I started to have issues with my battery , ,set reduced power CEL's to the point were I now carry a cheap code reader in my cubby just in case . I am happy to report I learned my lesson and installed the biggest battery (920 amp 760 CCA AGM ) and now , no matter where I set my Vitesse , I have not experienced setting a code
.
When Mike introduced his throttle controller I had made a comment awhile back on a post about throttle controlers to the tune of "we shall see " because they are all made overseas, who knows who is writing the logic for these things and Mike stated to me in a PM to me that he did extensive research on his product so I backed off ...
So the good thing is ....Mike's customer service is second to none !
He will take care of it for sure ....

good points and no I had not....I’ll try that in the am. Do you know what fuse number I should pull?
