Has anyone tried the Antigravity battery for C7 Corvette? Great weight reduction and they claim "drop in" fitment for the H6 group of batteries. The H6-24 is the lightest at 9.8 lbs with only 1000amps.
Yup. Put one in my C7 track car and it works great. I even had a dead battery once (due to parasitic drain after the interior was gutted) and got to use the backup start feature which worked like a charm. Initially talked about in post 407 and several other people chimed in later. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...e-c7-gs-r.html
I've been using one of those direct fit units for a while on my car. The fitment is excellent as expected, and weight savings are significant. That said, during times when I don't use my car often, after the start, the electronics start throwing error codes (e.g. service rear axle, steering wheel buttons not working, entertainment unit not responding, etc.). When I restart the car, these gremlins disappear, and during frequent restart (e.g. during the track days), I never see these issues. I am wondering if I am somehow creating these issues by hooking it up to the CTEK Li-Ion charger during those long resting periods, so I'll stop doing that and see if it ever comes back. Anyway, this might obviously be something specific to my setup, but will update if I figure out what causes it : )
