Default Help! Cam time!!

Just bought a beautiful c7 stingray . Now it’s time to cam and throw some headers on her. Questions on what’s the best route to go? Top cams?

I'm not sure if you're familiar with the c7 platform. If you're not and don't plan on doing the work yourself just know that installing a cam is an expensive task on this car. I've seen most places charging $3k-4k for a cam install. Add that to about $2k for the cost of headers and it gets expensive quick.

^^ I agree most people who do cams go ahead and do drop in pistons, torque converter depending on their goals for the car. Not sure what your power goals are but these cars don't pick up a ton of power with just a cam like the C6's did back in the day.

How much of that was labor? I know the shop out here on island is charging about 3K in labor.

Close to that. They are saying it is easier to take the motor out, to do it.

Doing the drop in pistons and the converter is a good move but not completely needed. If you are an automatic car the stock converter will limit your cam selection.

Check out our stage 2 package here. It comes with headers, intake, cam kit and dod delete. We make over 500rhwp with this kit time and time again depending on the cam we select. Hit us up and we can get you set up. This package is under 5k installed and tuned with all the parts.
