Default Which drag tire???

I'm going to be purchasing a set of drag radials to put on my stock wheels. I have a 2014 Z51. I was thinking 305/30/20. Let me know which tire you used and how it worked for you. Also, if you have pics , lets see them.

A 10 inch rim is minimum size for that tire and the 305 × 20 diameter is 1 inch larger than stock 285 changing the effective gear ratio

A better choice would be 285 x19 as its the same diameter and easily fits on a 19 × 10 wheel

keep your 20 inch stock tires and rims and pickup a cheap set of 19 inch repos

I did exactly what my man Dave is telling you to do. Got a 19” wheel with nto5r mounted on them. I’m pushing just over 600rwhp and after 1st it’s planted. However it’s been 2x now with my tc off taking off hard in first and I’m not sure how I saved the car.scared the **** out of me.Dont know how the hell these guys with upwards of 1k horse on the street are doing it?!?!?! I must suck at driving.

The Nt05r is not a good a tire as the MT Street SS or the Street R. I've ran all 3 and the R is the best for drag racing but not on the street. You don't want to get caught in the rain. The SS is the combo for street and drag racing. I've heard the new Nitto 555r is a new compound and pretty good tire.
