Posted earlier of 2016 ZO6 (9700 mi), with Code PO300/PO50D. Modifications few, Hallcraft Air, Borla X, and Mamo TB. Have it at dealer, who recommends replacing all 8 injectors. was told due to cost GM had to inspect the vehicle. Has been done, dealer said they should have reply on Monday after GM reviews it. All of this sound normal? should I have a concern.? It seems strange that they could not isolate the problem injector, (PO301 thru PO308), and replace. Thanks

Mainly because the combination of those two codes means there could be other issues causing the misfires. P0300 is a general misfire code that indicates there isn't sufficient data to point to a particular cylinder. I have seen P0300 codes on my car that show cylinder #8 misfired 64 times at 5200 rpm. Another time I saw P0308 which showed cylinder 8 misfired 521 times at the same rpm. P050D indicates there is a cold start misfire and there is a TSB out for GM V8s that says one of the causes could be a head gasket failure. Head gasket failure is at the top of the list if there is white smoke and the smell of antifreeze during a cold start.
In your case the history file may show different results leading to the fuel injector diagnosis.
Why don't you ask them to print out the history file for you?
Dealer said that GM would get back today. When I had it checked at Auto Zone it was Random Misfire Detected and Cold Start Rough Idle. There has never been an indication of White smoke, quite the opposite Black smoke and a couple backfires. i'll wait till I hear from them today, just felt it strange an inspection of the vehicle to OK from GM. Been a pretty "Babied" 9700 miles with a few "Get on its". After driving it it seemed to clear up, but was back next morning.
It will be interesting to hear the outcome of your inspection to see if the mods affect warranty coverage. Was the inspection done by a GM rep or the dealership? This may answer a lot of questions and speculation about what mods can be done to a car and still retain coverage.
Well some GREAT news and a little sad news. The great, GM OKs' the replacement of all 8 injectors. The sad, .... well I wish it would have happened last winter. parts on back order. Week to a month. So much for half a summer, huh. In the end it's all worth it. Thanks Denny and GM
Here's to hoping the injectors are the issue. Seen too many cases of dealers throwing parts at things to fix problems but this is at least in the ballpark
It is a Platinum Protection Plan , through Denny Menholt Chevrolet, purchased in 2018 before my Warranty expired as an extended Warranty good till 5/23/2023 or 67545 miles. So 60/60000 Contract term with $100 Deductible per visit
Now it makes sense. It's been a few years since I worked in the service dept, but a rep never came out for regular warranty work inspections, but for big GMPP (at the time) repairs it wasn't uncommon.
