Default Clock spring problems

I had my steering wheel airbag go off. I bought an airbag off a member on here and it has the part number making it a 2014 airbag. I thought they were the same for all C7’s. Not knowing this I ordered a new clock spring for a 2019. I find out the Sockets on the airbag and the pigtails on the 2019 clock spring are different. If I buy a 2014 clock spring it would work with the sockets. Will it work OK with every thing else. I would be putting a 2014 airbag bag and clock spring setup in a 2019.
TIA
Walt

GM does not change a part and issue a new part number just because ...... there is usually a good reason, changing the connectors on the airbag is indicative of the fact they dont want u or anybody else to use the earlier part number .

When it comes to airbags don't mess around , just get the right part number as their might be systems changes that are not compatible which could cause it to off in the wrong situation or worse not go off at all
