Default LT1 nitrous fuel question

How much Nitrous can the stock Heads & Cam LT1 stock fuel system handle? I'd like to hit it with a 200-250 whp shot. I'm going to use the ZL1 fuel pump, plugs, rpm window switch, progressive controller, heater and tuned oc. Is there anything else needed for the fuel system? I have a few mods listed below.

Tuned
3.90 gears
ARH Headers
2 Hi-flow cats
Mufflers Modded
Ported Int / manifold & TB

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't plan on using nitrous often. The usual hit will be 100-150. I'd like to occasionally hit it with a 200 shot. There's a LT1 camaro forum member that was running e85 with a 200hp shot for over 6 month with the stock fuel system with no issues.

A 78 jet should be fine. About to hit mine with one with a cam. Going to feed the fuel noids with my dsx aux kit since I'm not going to be throwing boost on the car anymore.

Are you saying the 78 jet should be fine with the ZL1 pump? or can I use the stock pump? I'm at 428 whp / 440 tq now. Also I decided that 200 hp is the max.

Thanks

On 93 you could probably get by with the 200 shot, on E...probably not.

I only use 95-97 oct at min with or w/out Nos, luv the smell lol. No plans for E. I'm right on the edge at 200 then. I'll eventually swap the pump before spraying 200 hp. So what the Hell, I'll try 175 shot until I change the pump.

Thanks I appreciate your help.

You won’t tax your fuel system that way.

With a controller and a dedicated fuel cell you could do a 200 shot.

Thanks

I have the controller. I think the ZL1 pump should work fine. If I'm correct, the LT1 pump can handle up to 625 hp, and the ZL1 handles 700 hp plus.

I always use a 100 hp hit. That way I don’t need to adjust the timing or replace the plugs. 100 h/p will kick the car in the ***. My last nitrous was my 13 C6. I have all the parts to install that same system on my 19 C7 GS. Cheap h/p. Nitrous always makes you smile.
