Default New here!

Im excited to be part of this group of like minded people with the same love for Corvettes. I have purchased my second Vette, a 16 C7Z06. I want to actually do some mods for it. I have a list of parts/ build that I want to do but I have never actually built a car so I was wanting some opinions and honest thoughts of what I got put together. I’d like to see what you guys would change or even add. Let me know with a comment or a DM letting me know. Thanks in advance! 🙏🏽

Welcome...What part of the great state are you from....?

Mods are highly subjective and given the purpose of your build could vary extremely.
Any particular goal of your build or purpose the car will fill. (mean street, autoX'er, roll racer, drags ??)

Located in San Angelo Tx. I still want it as a daily driver but I also want it mean on the street. Just want to bring the motor to life really without having to build the motor.

Forgot to ask in first post...what tranny, M7 or A8?

What you've listed should get the job done nicely with those quality parts.
What are the specs on that cam? Considering DOD/AFM delete?

You going to farm the work out? Considered any shops yet? Or doing the work yourself?

I'll be talking with 21st CMC in Addison tomorrow about a small project.

Not sure of the Trans. It’s an Auto 16 C7Z06. Maybe that helps you help me.

im not sure the specs on the cam I’ve tried looking everywhere with it. Starting to think I should’ve gone with Texas Speed Cam. But thinking with the LG kit I’ll be needing the DOD delete. Probably lifters and rocker arms too. Not to sure. Waiting for the parts to get here to see. Most work I’ll be doing but the cam kit taking to a buddy’s shop. Then taking to Midland/Odessa for tuning.

If it's auto it's an A8 (M7/manual). Reason for asking about cam specs & tranny is touque converter concerns.
Stage 3 cams by most brands or manf's tend to be too much for a stock torque converter.
Stage 1 and some Stage 2 cams get away w/out a TC upgrade, so you'll be limited by that first and foremost.

Okay yeah i gotcha! Well I do know with the Cam I do need to get a converter for 3400-3800 so I know that much about it. It also only come with the DOD delete plugs. But does not have the lifters and rocker arms. I thought for $1600 I would be atleast get the lifters and arms, I know Texas speed kits come with them and they are about $1200. So I may return it, then get Texas speed or BTR setup.

I would want a kit that was complete, lifters and all.

You couldn't go wrong with either of those, if I were buying I'd do BTR.

Recommendations will depend a lot on what you specifically want to accomplish.

I bought a new 2016 Z06 A8. Have had an AFE CAI and Tony Mamo TB - both great and not expensive for what they do. I see you didn't include a TB in your list - not sure why.

I didn't notice the lack of a TB on his list.

Ironic...I'm in the other TB camp, I chose a Soler TB...but the real difference maker
was the Soler Throttle Controller...best mod money I've ever spent.

Yeah I don’t have it. Probs won’t order it till I port the supercharger on the “2nd stage of mods. But I do plan on it.
