There's a 1/8 mile race coming up in a couple of weeks close to where i live .
They have brackets times for different classes .
Street is 9.00 and slower , Sportsman is 8.99 to 7.43 , semi pro is 7.99 to 5.60 .
I'm trying to register online but have no clue how fast i am in the car .
No bashing here please as i haven't raced for the past 18 years , the track will be totally un prepped ( its a local run way ) and likely lots of sand on it ,and , i will be using stock Z06 tires .
I have a 7 speed manual and im old lol .
So , what bracket should i go for ?
So you have a Z06? I have a stock A8 Stingray and just ran 7.80 at 93 mph with a 1.80 60ft.. So start off with sportsman since you have a M7 on a track that will be slick as hell. If you had an A8 Zo6 then you'd probably be to fast for Sportsman. Good luck. I'm 68 and thats why I don't have a stick anymore.

I forgot to mention , that the rest of the car is far from stock . It makes just over 860 rwhp and launching it is gonna be tough being a manual .
You really need a set of drag radials with that F1 setup and that much power, especially on a no prep track. Good luck sir.
Yeah that's what i thought . We only have maybe two races per year up here where i live , short driving season to boot . Its just for fun so i guess its Run what you Brung lol
